Codonics certifies that the NP-1600 Series and NP-1660 Series printers comply with Year 2000 date handling protocols, in accordance with provisions of this document.
Only the products and software releases listed below are included in this Year 2000 Compliance Statement. Please contact Codonics for information on Year 2000 Compliance of other products.
1. NP-1600 Photographic Network Printer with Operating Software Release 1.3.2 or higher.
2. NP-1600M Medical Color Printer with Operating Software Release 1.3.2 or higher.
3. NP-1660 Photographic Network Printer with Operating Software Release 2.0.0 or higher.
4. NP-1660M Medical Printer with Operating Software Release 2.0.0 or higher.
5. DICOM Release 2.0 or higher.
Year 2000 Compliance is defined as the following:
1. The product supports date and century recognition before and after January 1, 2000. The range of valid year values is 1993-2019.
2. The year values of all dates are input in a 4 digit format which includes century and year information in the format CCYY.
3. The year values of all dates are output in either a 4 digit format with includes century and year in the format CCYY, or a 2 digit format which is defined as year values between 93-99 inclusive have a century value of 19, and year values between 00-19 inclusive have a century value of 20.
4. Calculations used in the product will produce accurate results for same century and multi-century dates includ-ing leap year calculations.
Only the functional elements listed below are included in this Year 2000 Compliance Statement:
1. Hardware and software for maintaining, reading and writing time from the battery backed-up real-time clock.
2. Software for writing, reading and interpreting licensed feature activation keys.
3. Software for maintaining time-stamped accounting logs and generating usage reports by date and time. (Note: this applies to Operating Software Release 1.5.0 and higher).
Codonics has validated Year 2000 Compliance of Products in this document using the following test procedures:
1. Verify input date conversion for minimum and maximum values of January 1, 1993 and December 31, 2019.
2. Verify output date conversions for minimum and maximum date values including 2 and 4 digit year formats.
3. Verify date calculation accuracy for minimum and maximum year values of January 1, 1993 and December 31, 2035.
4. Verify date calculation accuracy for random same century 1993-1999 ranges and 2000-2019 ranges.
5. Verify date calculation accuracy for random multi-century date ranges which span across the year 2000.
6. Verify date calculation accuracy for transition from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000.
7. Verify leap year calculations.
Codonics warrants that the Products listed currently meet Year 2000 Compliance as documented in the Definition and Scope paragraphs. In the event of a problem, Codonics will, at its sole discretion:
(1) provide a specific fix or;
(2) provide a software upgrade which corrects the problem. Codonics will also make upgrades of software available at a nominal charge, for products with Operating Software Releases prior to the those which include Year 2000 (y2k) Compliance.
